If you choose a cordless model, ensure the battery life will be long enough to complete your projects. 

A corded version is less maneuverable, but it packs a greater punch. Typically these models have a farther throwing power and can handle deeper wetter snow.  You’ll also usually see a higher amperage.  

Weight

Even though electric snow removal devices are powered by a motor, you still need to put in the effort to push them. In the case of the automated snow shovel, you also have to hold the handle up in the air like with a traditional model.
